A calmer day, one step at a time

Timers and completion records

Start, pause, and finish a timer, and understand pending sync.

Use a timer

Open a plan with timing enabled and start its timer. Elapsed time is calculated from the wall clock, and the web app saves the session in IndexedDB so it can be resumed after closing or reloading the page. The native app keeps timing in the background and refreshes its display when you return. Paused time is not counted.

  1. Open the relevant plan and choose Start timer.
  2. Choose Pause when needed, then Resume when you are ready.
  3. Finish the timer and wait for the server to confirm the record.

Server settlement and rewards

Timer rewards are available only after the server settles the record. Eligible required tasks may earn time-bank minutes under their rules; routines do not add time, and optional plans do not earn points or time. Points and time are separate balances.

  • Estimated rewards and records awaiting sync cannot be redeemed.
  • After connectivity returns and the account and family are verified, the app continues submitting the original timer record.
  • Retries do not issue rewards twice. If the plan or permissions have changed, the server may decline settlement and explain why.

Offline use and recovery

If you finish a timer offline, the web app keeps a local record pending sync; the native app also shows a pending-sync state. Reconnect and verify with the same account and family to sync it.

  1. Keep the same account and family, reconnect, and check the timer status.
  2. Retry the pending record as prompted; do not start another timer for the same plan.
  3. If the server declines settlement, review the message and ask a family administrator to check the plan or permissions.
